Character Abilities

AbilityDescription
Natural ShapeshiftingThis ability grants the entity the capability to alter its physical form between a set of variations of themselves. These variations can take on the appearance of completely different species. Where applicable certain individual identifiable features, such as eye and hair color, will remain the same across all variations.
FlightThe entity is capable of physical, magic-enhanced flight in all forms. When in a form that does not possess wings, wings must be manifested before flight can be initiated.
Breath WeaponThe entity is capable of deploying a flame-based breath weapon as a cone from its mouth.
Thermal ImmunityThe entity is virtually immune to extreme levels of low-to-high temperature variations.
Portal TeleportationAbility to move between two locations via an in-between pocket dimension using portals. Other persons and objects may be moved freely through portals when they are opened into the pocket dimension and exiting from the pocket dimension. The pocket dimension is a region of the void wholly under the owner's control, perceived as a region of blackness with no perceivable boundaries. The exact size and shape of the portals can be controlled when opened, placed as tears in reality near the user, or opened against the skin, allowing the user to pass through by themselves.
UnbreathingOxygen is not required to sustain the life processes of the entity with this power. Such an entity is capable of existing in areas devoid of gasses (such as an air mixture) or containing gasses that would be toxic to other entities.
Celestial FlightThe entity is capable of flight through the vastness of space, moving through the region between celestial bodies as naturally as they are able to fly through an atmosphere.
Celestial MagicThe entity is able to pull and manipulate magical energies in various forms from celestial bodies within the same solar system as the entity.

Character Background

How it Began

Krahazik was born on a distant world in another dimension a long time ago, a world not unlike Earth during its early steel age. During this time, Dragons were not uncommon, and two major species of dragons inhabited the world alongside other species, including early Humans. There were the hyper-intelligent dragons who lived in distant mountains, keeping to themselves, and then there were the Feral dragons. The Feral dragons were animalistic in nature and more numerous than the intelligent dragons. The intelligent dragons formed loose societies, hunted, and practiced magic in isolation. They watched the Humans develop but kept themselves distant from the Humans, preferring not to get involved with such a young species, and most just ignored them. This would lead to their downfall. As the Humans grew in numbers and built their villages, towns, and cities, they began to expand their territories into regions inhabited by Ferrel Dragons. This had rather predictable consequences, and naturally, the Humans had trouble with those dragons. Still, the Intelligent Dragons ignored the Humans; after all, the troubles of Humans were no concern of theirs. As the difficulties with the Ferrals grew, it was inevitable that Humans who learned how to deal with those Dragons would emerge. Using advanced combat skills and magic, they became successful in killing Ferrel Dragons, and over time, they would train others in their techniques.Trouble began for the Intelligent Dragons when those skilled hunters banded together and formed a Guild: the Dragon Hunter’s Guild. This guild was formed to unite the scattered hunters, organize them into more efficient hunting parties, and train more hunters. Still, the Intelligent Dragons ignored them. With a mandate to eliminate the drastic threat of Dragons, the hunters expanded their influence across Human lands. It was also inevitable that in their active search for Dragons, they would come across an Intelligent Dragon. The hunters that made this first contact were not interested in dialogue, just hunting Dragons, and seeing a Dragon they failed to note the distinction between their previous prey and this new opponent. The battle was swift and did not go well for the hunters, for this new dragon they encountered could use strategy and magic against them. This would repeat itself for many years; the hunters would run across an Intelligent Dragon and inevitably lose. Still, the Intelligent Dragons paid the Humans no mind, the hunters were a minor nuisance easily dealt with.In a concentrated effort, the guild developed new tactics and magics specifically to deal with the more intelligent dragons they found. And with Ferrel Dragon numbers dropping, they needed new prey. After all, their power and influence relied on the hunting and killing of Dragons, constantly proving their worth to the areas they protected, validating their existence. Thus, the silent war began between the Dragons and the Guild. Krahazik watched this all unfold as a young dragon into adolescence. For Krahazik, staying hidden from the hunters became a way of life. As the years passed, he moved from place to place, often hiding amongst humans, taking on a human form to remain hidden. Like some of his peers, Krahazik was curious about the Humans, and paying a little more attention to them than his elders, he saw how things were developing. It would not be long before other Dragons would also try to hide among the Humans as things started to turn against the dragons as the hunters gained in numbers and skills.

Turning Point

As the Dragon population on the planet declined, Krahazik eventually ended up living in an apartment across the street from the Dragun Hunters Guild Headquarters, located in the capital city of the 1 kingdom where they had made being a dragon explicitly illegal. He remained hidden there for 20 years with none of the hunters realizing they had an adolescent dragon right under their noses. At the end of this period, Krahazik decided it was time to move on, and to try something very risky: a blind teleport where he would open an exit portal to an unknown dimension. Krahazik had discovered the dimensional boundary and realized he could cross it many years before but had never had the nerve to give it a try before. Closing up his affairs in the city under the pretense of moving to another city, he stepped into his pocket dimension and opened his first cross-dimension blind exit portal.Upon exiting his first blind teleport, Krahazik found himself standing on a barren, lifeless world. More alarming, at first, was the complete lack of air on this world. The gravity was also significantly less than he was used to. Looking around he spotted a much larger planet that looked to be very close, and it was then Krahazik realized two things. One, he was not struggling to breathe or was not breathing at all but was just fine. Two, he was standing on the moon of the planet he was staring at. With a little bit of experimentation, he discovered that in addition to not needing to breathe to survive, he could fly as well, functionally no different than when he was on his old world surrounded by an atmosphere. Krahazik was a Celestial Dragon subtype. For him, operating in space was no different than operating in an atmosphere. He could even survive the intense heat and exhilaration of atmospheric reentry.Krahazik would then begin his life as a dimensional hopping wandering dragon. Settling to live in a community, typically human, and living among them in disguise for a period of time before moving on. Sometimes, his visits would be short, and sometimes, he would live out a full lifetime, for the local population at least. Moving on before someone realized he had not effectively aged since they knew him and started asking questions. Over the course of thousands of years, Krahazik would visit many worlds across many dimensions, having all sorts of adventures. He has lived in various primitive societies as well as highly advanced societies and gained knowledge in a variety of subjects. Learning advanced magic techniques from an elderly archmage on one world, and starship design and engineering on another.
